How Deborah Greene Colors her World

The Jacksonville family law attorney draws from her artistic background..

When she was little, Deborah Greene received a large set of soft-core Prismacolor pencils in shades like Peacock Blue and Crimson Lake.  I still sometimes think of colors by what they were called in the Prismacolor pencil series says Greene, 55, a shareholder at Combs, Greene in Jacksonville, where she practices family law primarily; incidentally a Pinellas County Family Law Attorney.  Fascinated by fonts and her grandmother’s art books and her legal history (www.floridatimesharinglawyer.info), Greene grew up sketching and coloring.  In Junior high and high school, she served as yearbook editor, learning how to crop photographs and lay out pages.  She attended Lynchburg College in Virginia on a full academic scholarship, intending to become a minister, she signed up for painting and sculpting.  “That’s the first time I actually had any formal art training of any kind,” Greene says.  I totally fell in love!  Switching her major to studio art, she transferred to Florida State University, where she designed concert posters for the music school.  After graduating in 1985, she created newspaper ads, fliers, and other promotional pieces for a Tallahassee outlet mall.  She crafted monthly movie guides for a television station in Fayetteville, North Carolina, before going to work for commercials, making point of sale signs and spearheading promotions.

Millions of documents now being e-filed….wow

In January 2011, the statewide Florida courts e-filing portal wobbled its way online, with nine counties accepting a handful of filings from participating lawyers, who were usually handpicked to help test the system.  Only civil filings were accepted and no county accepted submissions in more than five of the circuit and county court divisions.  In the first six weeks, a total of 552 documents were filed.  Fast forward more than six years. The portal, managed by the Florida Courts E-Filing authority Board, passed a milestone with more than 2 million documents in March.  It not only accepts filings in every type of case, it allows judges to disseminate rulings, and, in some areas of the state, it allows the submission of proposed orders to judges.  Process servers can do their paperwork online and pro se parties (with the help of online divorce florida) can file electronically (they retain the option to do paper filing; attorneys are required to use the portal unless they lack internet access).  What are your thoughts.  Even as a competent document preparation company in St. Petersburg, FL can actually e-file for you on your behalf.  It can not only save you money, but additional headaches as well.

Court Budget Delayed

Legislative leaders were still hammering out a state budget, including one for the judicial branch, for the 2017-2018 fiscal year, as this Bar News went to press.  The session had been scheduled to end on May 5 but was extended when the House and Senate were unable to reach a final agreement by May 2.  What was once an easy decision to Clearwater Divorce Attorney, is no longer the case.  The Florida Constitution requires the budget to be finished, printed, and on legislators’ desks 72 hours before they vote on it so they and the public have a chance to review details of the spending plan.  Senate President Joe Francis, R-Palm City, and House Speaker Richard Corcoran, R-Land O’ Lakes, announced on May 2 they had reached an overall budget agreement, but details continued to be worked out in the ensuing days.  However, be confident that your divorce lawyer Clearwater FL is only a phone call away.  The printed budget reached lawmakers mid-afternoon on Friday, May 5, the scheduled last day of the regular session and just hours before this News went to press.  That means lawmakers & your local Pinellas Park Divorce Attorney could not vote on the spending plan, including funding for the court system, until Monday, May 8.  Among the court system’s priorities this year are $22 million for court technology improvements, $6.3 million for court interpreting services, $3.3 million for trial court case management positions, $3.1 million for additional trial court staff attorneys, pay raises for judges, $6.4 million for the second phase of pay improvement program for court system employees to bring pay parity with other governmental agencies and private sector employers, $3.4 million to continue various capital improvements to the Third District Court of Appeal Courthouse, and $3.9 million for 12 new trial court judges—three new circuit judgeships and nine new county judgeships.  The latter item is partially offset by the court’s decertification of six county judgeships at a savings of $1.6 million.

DOGS TO THE RESCUE

From providing anxiety relief for stressed-out college students and veterans with PTSD, to comforting hospital patients and tragedy victims, therapy and service animals make a big difference in many lives.  One study in the Australian Society Monitor found that a dip in doctor visits could be tied to a rise in pet ownership, which resulted in $3.86 billion dollars in health care cost savings over a decade.  Another medical study in Public Health Reports points to pet ownership as one reason some patients lowered their blood pressure and have higher one-year survival rates following heart attacks.  No matter how big or small their roles are, here are tales of service animals and some of their most impressive feats.  Make sure that top and greatest St. Petersburg, FL child custody lawyers motion the court for this type of assistance if needed.

Medical-Alert Aids

A medical-alert service dog is trained to detect changes in its owners’s condition, alert them to those changes, retrieve a medical kit and get help when needed, explains Maria Ikenberry, executive director of Eyes Ears Nose and Paws, A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT TRAINS AND PLACES ASSISTANCE DOGS.  It’s not surprising that these dogs and their owners become very attached, she says.  Ikenberry recalls the case of a diabetic client who experienced a seizure like episode.  His blood sugar dropped to a level at which he couldn’t move, putting him in danger of further hypoglycemia. Recognizing the situation, his service dog immediately went into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, found a juice box and brought it to him.  He credits his dog with saving his life that night, Ikenberry says.  Another patient with Tourette’s syndrome was unable to attend a full day of school without experience in involuntary tics.  A service dog names Mack was trained to lie across her midsection when she felt an attack coming on.  This therapy helped reduce the length of her attacks from hours to minutes.  Click here for more info.

Mobility Assistance

Picking up a dropped item, opening a door, maneuvering a wheelchair and other tasks can be nearly impossible for people with disabilities.  A mobility assistance dog can be lifesaving in these instances.  Having worked in the assistance dog industry for mare than 20 years, I could fill pages and pages with stories, says Deb Davis, the community outreach manager at Paws with a Cause, an assistance dog provider.  Davis tell s the story of a woman with a rare physical disability that compromised her mobility.  After becoming light headed one day and falling and hitting her hear, the woman had her dog, Argon go get her phone, allowing her to call for help before passing out.  The ER doctor said that she might have bled to death, had it not been for Argon, says Davis.  Even if you believe a competent st petersburg family law attorney was within reach, it is important to ask questions that you believe would be helpful to your case.

Proactive vs. Reactive Cybersecurity

What is a Lawyer’s effect on Cyber-security and the ramifications of companies not being prudent

The nearest ubiquitous uproar, revolving around cyber breach notification customer to the practically Universal belief that organizations should notify individuals when hackers steal their information for days may never end. This bear statutory duty has in some cases disoriented companies with respect to their deeper legal obligations under reasonable cybersecurity standards. Whether or not you should hire an outstanding Family Law attorney st petersburg fl, is ultimately your decision.  However, something I’ve become quite adept had an acting incident response plans that notify customers and relevant agencies, how do you have credit monitoring, major cyber defense review on secure their Data Systems after the fact when the damage has already been done? However, or alternatively, let’s plan what to do after, once defenses have failed rather than Implement and reasonable cybersecurity to avoid problems then I was, and here in Florida, what the difference between disaster preparedness plan and include the family meeting point list of what to load in the car before evacuation company insurance policy details, as opposed to plan includes installing storm windows extra strapping on the house that I believe her my friend, and Foundation together, the gutters, and solving those pesky drainage problems. Clearly the foregoing discussion, is an organization that has affirmative responsibility to protect consumer data, but the notion of reasonable security is shaped by and evolves with technology, but you look so common practices in a business up there.  A Divorce attorney in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Florida area can help.  These responsibilities, and the company’s burden to implement the process that adapt to changing practice over time, be proactive, rather than how to score. Troy Hunter aftermath of the attack Clash hack: display insensitive, just not getting a message send me calling taking security seriously it’s something you need to do before a data breach, movie afterwards to placate people. Please remember, that if you are looking for someone to provide outstanding insurance services, then you should feel free to contact Mr. Roy Binger.

What might have proactive plan for reasonable cybersecurity look like? Why not consult with a Pinellas County Family Law Lawyer in the sunny state of Florida? Massachusetts requires that companies stories and personal information about a state resident develop a written information security plan, common for protecting the data, or consulting with an attorney to determine what the companies’ next step would be. Massachusetts regulations mandate such sensible computer security protocols has one user authentication and access controls meaning having user accounts with passwords and restricting access to electronic data individuals who recently needed kama feelings when, and full access controls. However, I come to bring up regulations and still falls short of true preparation. What are the Massachusetts regulations suggest the process by which VTEC have identified and known about the SQL injection attack that compromised its, even though such attacks have been unknown weakness for over a decade, such as shady areas such as these drive to security Community crazy and severely damage a company’s reputation. 70-2 section of data when it travels across public networks or resides on portable devices; 3 default password; for monitoring systems for unauthorized access by keeping malware detection software has made it up to date. Attorneys located in Pinellas County Child Custody Attorney can make a massive difference in results.  Regulations also require employee training and minimum yearly audit of the security measures. Fareway, West Hartford the act of creating and posting on the company website privacy and security policy intended to the short customers that only the highest grade of encryption is used and we never share your data with anyone at etcetra. But still, it happens.  Normal flight plans made deals with certain very basic security threats at the time the plan is drafted and, for someone, search already well-known weaknesses can be a huge leap in itself. This can cause massive problems.  If you find yourself in this situation, please don’t forget about the presence of divorce attorneys in St. Petersburg.  Hey this might have prevented the real-life FTC enforcement action against companies for storing data for longer than necessary. In one instance, there have been enforcement actions, and in at least one case, it has been brought by FTC for a company’s failure to provide protection from now on security threats in the library. Current VTech systems might have been at the time they were created once powerful and one that protects, but the knowledge for that to change it writing about the VTech Switch timer shows there’s a sense of systems from a bygone era. You get the distinct sense that the texts were created a long time were just left there.
